Carl Kreiser was present and discussed Liability Insurance with the
members of the board..
A discussion of roads running parallel with the Sweet Road and Ken-
drink Road was held.
Mr. Boi`vn' requested the extension of water to his property and
thanked the board for their cooperation.

John Sullivan, `Mrs. Doty and Mrs.. Luenberger, representing ,the Queens-
bury Association requested the Board to include in its annual budget
the sum of $500 for the purpose of erecting signs inviting new building
in the Town of Queensbury. Mrs. Doty acted ,as spokesman for the group.
A committee from Vest Glens Falls compr of Scott Hopkins , Fred
Fisher, Anthony Thomasvic, Raymond Hoag ed x Shanks, Robert Lattimore,
James Rozelle and Lester Hillis requested the appointment of Raymond
J,oag as Constable for the West Glens Falls area for traffic duties.
Mr. H opkins acted as spokesman f6r the group. , -
After discussion, the following resolution was presented:
Resolution No. introduced by Councilman Lampson, seconded by
Councilman Walkup:
It is resolved that Raymond Hoag�se appointed Constable for
traffic duty in the West Glens Falls area to serve without compensa-
tion.
The foregoing resolution was withdrawn and Lair. Lampson and Mr. Walkup
introduced the following. resolution:

It was resolved that Raymond Hoagu'fbe appointed Constable for traffic
duty in the West Glens Falls area for a term beginning October 27,,
1951 and ending on the 31st day of December, 1951.

It was resolved that the Town Superintendent of highways is
hereby authorized and directed to purchase 500 ft, of 15 corrugated
pipe for highway purposes to be used for the drainage of the streets
'known as Pershing Road:and: Ashley Place.

In the matter of compensation for the caretaker of the Town dump,

Dear Sir: --
The attached petition is to call to your attention a serious and
dangerous condition which exists on the Glens Falls-Corinth Highway
in the hamlet known as West Glens Falls, New York, County of Warren
at the intersection of Pine Street and Corinth Road.
There is a lot of traffic on this Glens Falls-Corinth Highway,
day and hight.
With a heavy.rain, this road is flooded for 'a distance of ten
or twelve rods. Also the sidewalk is covered to a depth of four to
five inches with water. In the spring when the snow melts, there is
up to .seven inches of water on the sidewalk and across the corner.
Cars trying- to avoid this water nearly come head on with cars
coming in the opposite direction.

Gilbert's Service Station, located on,one corner is enclosed
by this water and people will not drive in on account of t ►e water.
When this freezes over in the winter it is ver da
y- ngerous to
people driving by.
- We have taken'this up with Mr. Herrick Osburne, County Superin-
tendent of Highways. He has been here to inspect the condition and
says it is the worst in the County, and that it could be drained.
Mr. Osburne stated on August 24 that he took the Highway Com-
mittee of the Board of Supervisors to this site and they all agreed
that a bad condition exists at this location. However, sufficient
funds are' not available, and that it will be necessary to defer the
matter for this year.
This condition has existed for several years already.
We would all appreciate it 'very much if,this could be taken care
of before high water next spring.

THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF SERIAL BONDS OF THE TOWN
OF. QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $9,997.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE
INTERNATIONAL TRUCKS.
BE IT RESOLVED this, 27th day of October, 1951, by the, Town
Board of the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, New York, as follows :
Section 1. For the object- or purpose of, the purchase or three
International Trucks and to provide funds to defray the cost thereof
$9,997.00 of general obligation serial bonds of the Town of Queensbury,
Warren County, New York, to be of the terms, form and contents herein-
after provided for, shall be issued pursuant to the provisions of the

Local Finance Law of the State of New York,
Section 2. The sum of $11, 733.55 is estimated as the maximum
cost of the object or purpose for which such serial bonds are to be,
Issued, to -wit: The purchase of three International Trucks.
Section . The plan for the financing of such object or purpose,
to wit: the purchase of three International Trucks, consists of the
issuance of the serial bonds of the said Town of' Queensbury, Warren
County, New York, in the principal sum of $9,997.00, thereby providing
such sum toward the maximum estimated cost of such object or purpose,
and the balance of such cost, to wit: the sum of $1,738.55 shall be
paid by the trade-in of five used trucks owned by the said Town of
Queensbury.. —.
Section 4. It is hereby determined that the object or purpose
for which such serial bonds are to be issued falls within Subpara-
graph 10 of Sub-division A of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance haw and
that the period of probable usefulness of such object or purpose is
five years.
Section 50 The proposed maturity of the serial bonds hereby
authorized will not be in excess of five years.
Section 6. There will be provided prior to the issuance of such
bonds' the sum of 1 736.55 toward such object or purpose by trade-in
of five used trucks.
Section 7. The said $9,997.00 in serial bonds shall be of the
denomination of $1,999.40 each dated November 1,. 19511 numbered from
one 'to' five inclusive, maturing in numerical order in the .amount of
$1,999.40 annually on the first day of May in each of the years 1952
to 1956, inclusive and shall bear interest at a rate not exceeding
two and one-half (22 ,) per annum payable semi-annually on the first
{ day of May and November in each year.
Section 8. The said serial bond shall be issued in substan-
tially the following form, to wit :

Dollars and to pay interest on said sum at the rate of- two and one-half

The faith and credit of said Town of Queensbury, Warren County,
New York, are hereby irrevocably pledged for the punctual payment of
the principal of and interest on said bond according to its terms.
It is hereby certified and recited that all conditions, acts
and things required by the Constitution and statutes of the State of
New York to exist, to have happened and to have been performed pre-
cedent to and in the issuance of this bond, exist, have happened, and
have been performed, and that the issue of bonds of which this is one,
together with all other indebtedness, of the said Town of Queensbury,
Warren County, New York, is within every debt and other limit prescribed
f by the Constitution and laws of the State of New York,.
