1941-03-25 i . 59 or buried cable not encased in conduit; all, in, on, along, under and a aceross all of the various streets, roads, avenues and highways or parts thereof in the Town of Queensbury, and Whereas, the county attorney has examined said permit and finds it to be in usual form and sees no reason why permission should not be granted. Resolved, that permission is granted to the New York Tel. Co to maintain conduits, manholes and subsiduary ducts and to construct , lay and use lines of electrical conductors as above described. Yurthur Resolved,, that this board sigh the permit submitted with the application. Furthur Resolved, that this permission is granted subject- to the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways and to all provisio ws-contained in said permit and provisions of the Highway Law applying to same. Duly adopted by the following vote : Ayes Mr. Been, Mr. Nobles, Mr. Bentley and Mr. Ingalsbe Noes - None The Board signed the determination and agreement with the Town Superintendent of Highways. Turner Town Clerk Curtis Lambson, absent. Hy Russell Harris , Town Superintendent of Highways also* present. Minutes of meeting held on March 11th 1941 were read and approved, Zhe clerk read a letter from C.V.Peters in reference to the Town renting or purchasing a strip of land east ofthe Store house- property which the town has been using for several years; Resolution No..70 Introduced by Mr, Been Seconded by Mr. Nobles It was resolved that Mr. Bentley and Mr. Nobles- be and are hereby appointed a committee of two to investigate the advisability of the Town ,of purchasing or renting from C,V.Peters a strip of land on the east side of the Znwne store `house property and obtain if possible, the purchase ' price `and rental price thereof and to report to the Board at the next regular meeting their findings. ' `Further. Stearns for the sum of $500. Resolved that this board hereby approves said purchase of said equipment for said amount. Noes-None Absent Mr, Lampson Resolution No 9 Introduced by Mr. Been seconded by Mr. Bentley Whereas the Town Board in October 1940 verbally authorized the Town superintendent of highways to build and addition to the Town Store House for the reasoya that there was insufficient storage space for town eqipment and some of the Town equipment would have been exposed to the elements and Whereas pursuant to said authorization the Town superintendent did build said addition at a total cost of approximately f630 Now be it resolved that the Town Board does hereby approve the construction of said addition at said amount by the Town superintendent of Highways.
