At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Qu"nsbury
held on the above date at 7 :30 P. Mr. at the Clerk's Office, the
following members were present :
Jabez Ingaldbe, Supervisor
Curtis Lampson, Councilman
Charles Nobles, Justice, of Pe ce
Meredith Bentley, Justice of ;eace

H. Russell Harris, Town Superintendent of Highways, also present .
Minutes of meeting held on August 26th were read and approved .
Privilege of the .floor was extended to Mrs Herbert G. Potter,
who spoke brldfly,,� on the subject of primaries in the Tow' , of
Queensbury.
The Privilege of the floor` s extended to Mrs. Brayton, who .
requested an appropkitti. sum of $100. to aid in maint&1ning.
and equipping the Mountai ide Free Library.
Resolution No. 48, Introduced by Mr. Nobles , Seconded by Mr' . _
Lampson.
It was resolved that the sum of $100. be and is hereby approp-
riated for use of the Mountainside Free Library in maintaining and
equiping the said Mountainside Free Library.

At this point , Ralph Been, Justice of Peace appeared and his
presents is hereby noted.
Mr. Peter Dalton presented a petition signed by 81 persons ,
requesting the, Board to place & light on the corner of Glenwood
Avenue and the Lake George Road`.

Resolution No. 49 , Introduced by Mr. Nobles , 6econded by
Tyr. Lampson. ,
Whereas, a dangerous traffic condition exists at the junction of
Glenwood Avenue with Route #9 , which is the main New York
Montreal Highway, for the reasons that approximately 500 vehicles
turn out of and enter into the said Glenwood Avenue which is an
improved County Highway from the said U. S. Route #9.
Resolved that the Town Board hereby requests the State Highway
Department to place at said junction an automatic stop and go.

traffic signal and regulate traffic at said junbtion.

The Clerk reported that in the matter of the Davis Emergency
Equipment Company, Company's Claim against the Town of Queensbury,
he had interliewed Mr. Skane in reference to same , and that
Mr. Skane stated that he would obtain the information as to who
ordered the supplies, when shipped and who received it for the
Town of Queensbury.
The Clerk read a petition from Harry G. Helm, which requested
permission to open a ditch for the purpose of laying a sewer pipe
along part of Fort Amhearst Road, and after discussion, the
following. resolution was adopted.
Resolution No. 50, Introduced by Mr. Bentley, Seconded by Mr.
Nobles
Whereas , Harry G. Helm has petitioned the the Town Board of the n
Tow of Queensbury for its consent to open and close a ditch for
the purpose of laying a sewer pipe along the southerly side of the
Fort Amherst Road between the Curb line and the present macadam
on said road and beginning at & point not to exceed the ' center
line of lot #76 as shown on a map entitled Fort Amherst 6mith
Subdivision and running thence westerly along the south side of
Fort Amherst Load to the center line of Edison Street.
Resolved that the County Attorney be and hereby is requested to
prepare the necessary papers to be executed to safeguard and
protect the Town of Queensbury providing permission is granted
for laying of sower pipe .

Ayes - Mr. Been, Mr. Nobles, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Bentley and Mr.
Ingalsbe
Noes - None
The Clerk read a claim of James Ellsworth for compensation. -Claim
was turned over .to the Town Superintendent of Highways . `
The .Soard generally discussed with the Superintendent of Highways ,
surface_ drainage of water near Allie Brown's Store on the
Boulevard. No action was taken by the Board.
On motion, meeting adjourned.
