REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 24,1942
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the' Town of
4ueensbury, held on the above date at 7:30 P.M. at the Clerk's
'Offices the following menbers were present;
D.E1mer Fowler, Supervisor
Charles Nobles Justice of Peace
Henry 'Sleight Justice of Peace
Raymond Walkup Councilman
Curtis Lampoon, Councilman Absent.
H. Russell Hapr1s, Town Superintendnent of Highways also
present.
Minutes of meeting held January 27th,1942 were read and
approved.
The privelege of the FDoor was extended to Mr. Earl Carswell
why► requested the board to have installed a stop and go
traffic signal at either the Junction of the aviation Field
road or Lafayette Ave with the Lake George State Highway,
Resolution No., 20 Introduced by Councilman Walkup, seconded
by Justice Nobles.
WHEREAS the Town Board by resolution #41 adopted July 23rd,1941
requested the State Highway Department to erect and place a
stop and go Traffic light at the intersection- of Lafayette Ave
and Route #9 in the Town of Queenobury for the reason that a
Brous traffic* condition exists at or- near said intersection
# E13EAS no action has been taken upon -the aforesaid request of the
Town Beard by the State Highway Department.
RESOLVED that Justice Sleight be and is hereby appointed a
Committee of One to take the matter up with Mr. Holler of the
State Highway Department in view of obtaining a Stop & Go
traffic light on route # 9 in the vicinity ef ,Lafayette Ave.
