Lampoon REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 2491942 At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the- Town of aueensbury, held on the above date at 7:30 P.11. at the Clerk's offices the following menbers were present; D.Elmer Fowler, Supervisor Charles Nobles Justice of Peace _ Henry Sleight Justice of Peace Raymond Walkup Councilman Curtis Lampoon, Councilman Absent, H. Russell HaFris. Tmwn Superintendnent of Highways also present. - Minutes of meeting held January 27th,1942 were read and appr�oYed. The privelege of the FDoor was extended to Mr. Earl Carswell why► Tequested the board to have installed a stop and go traffic signal at either the Junction of the aviation Field road or Lafayette Ave with the Lake George State Highway. Resolution No., 20 Introduced by Councilman Walkup, seconded by. 4ustice Nobles. WHEREAS the Town Board by resolution #41 adopted July 23rd,1941 requested the State Highway Department to erect and place a stop and go Traffic light at the intersection- of Lafayette Ave and Route #9 in the Town of queenobury for the reason that a dangerous traffice condition exists at or- near said intersection anndd__ WHFJ�9AS no action has been taken upon -the aforesaid request of the Term Beard by the State Highway Department. K, Uliff erd who spoke briefly on the Civilian defense and Voluntary fire Company and reuested the Boards Moral support for the Volantayy fire Company. The board was also requested to approve the formation of a voluntary fire Company, The Board also was asked their attitude to the creation of '& fire district, Mr Sidney VanDusen, Mr, Clayton Ramsey and Mr Russill Harris also spoke briefly in relation to the above. The board Generally discussed the matter with the above people and ineormed them that they would consider the matter of the creati©ri"of a fire District when the matter was properly before them and would give the matter most serious consideration, other her action taken. i 117 The Clerk read a petition requesting the reappointment of Curtis Lampoon as collector of the JWw�hG41fe.11s Water District* Resolution No 24 Introduced by Councilman Walkup seconded by Juitice Nobles. WHEREAS a petition signed by 138 water renters has been presented petitioning the Town Board to appoi#t Curtis Lampoon to act as collector for the West Gleam Falls Water District. Thorofare be it .resolved that the said Curtis Lampoon { be and is Hereby appointed collector for the water rent of the West Glens Fills Water District at a salary of 59 of the amount of Water Rent collected.
