Dear Gentlemen:
This letter is to certify that on Wednesday,January 23`d and February 6th, 2019 I visited the site at 65 Rockhurst
to observe and discuss structural items with Mr. Cifone.
At my January 23`d visit I provided Mr. Cifone with a list of items that I wanted to see either changed and/or
added to the structure.These were:
- Add hurricane clips/tie dons to the rafters
- Add some bolts to the beams
- Add strapping to the Lake side wall between headers and walls
- Use joist hangers not just toe nail joists to header/box beam
At my February 6th visit I observed that all these changes/additions have been completed—see attached
photos—and that, in my opinion,the structural changes made to this residence are in substantial compliance
with the Residential Code of NYS, and the drawings that I reviewed for Mr. Cifone.
Currently there are a couple of temporary columns that will be replaced with permanent wood columns as the
project progresses,
