At a regular meeting of the Town'Board of The Town of Queensbury held on the above date at 7 :30 P. M. at the Clerk's Office the following memebers were present,, D. Elmer Fowler Supervisor Charles J. Nobles Justice o f peace Henry Sleight Justice of Peace Curtis Lamps on Councilman f Raymond Walkup Councilman IH. Russell Harris Town Superirit4ndent of Highways also present. Minutes of Meeting held on the 26th day of June 1943, were read and approved. A petition signed by 22 residence and owners of real property was presented- and read to the beard requesting the Board to approp- iate sufficient funds to carry out a plan of drainage of an area in the lower boulevard . The privelege of the floor was extended to Mr. Lr. R. Lewis who spoke briefly on the matter of the propoesed drainage. A comm$n'lcation from Mr. Lewis in reference to the matter was read to the Board. { C -175 ResolutiomgNo 20 Introduced by Judge Sleight and Seconded by Justice Nobles . Whereas 22 residents of the Boulevard section of the Town of Queensbury petitioned this Board to appropiate sufficient funds to carry out a plan of drainage of an area on the northerly side of the Boulevard made necessary by the elevation of the grade of the public street, including particularly said Boulevard and, Whereas it is the opinion of this Board that suitable culverts should be constructed and widened for the purpose of carrying of surface water on the northerly side of the Boulevard to the Sortherly side of Boulvard Road. Ther4fore be it resJlved that this Board hereby equests the Sate Highway Department through Frank Bisbee, District State Eengeneer to ,-,take appropiate action to relieve the situation. Further redolved that the clerk of this Board transimit a copy of this resolution to the said Frank Bisbee. Duly ad pted by the following vote : Ayes. Mr. =lalkup, Mr. Nobles , Mr. Lampson, qtr. Sleight and Per. Fowler. Noes, None. Mr. and Mrs William Francis called on the Board in reference to taken some of thier property on Glen Lake road for Highway purposes on the Glen Lake Road. The Board- generally discussed the matter with them and the Town Superintendent of Highways and decided to meet with then on ' unday Aug. 31st 1943 at Glen Lake and go over the matter, An a plication from Dillard F. Coons for appointment f¢icx to t e position of Town attendance officer was read to the Board' by theclerk. Re4olution No . , 21 Introduced by Mr. Lampson-and seconded by Mr Walkup. It was resplved that Millard F. Coons be and is hereby appointed ,Touyn attendance off f iceer f or, he- schools of the Town of ski ueenwbur outside of District No.2 for the y year 1943-1921 at an 'annual salary of $200. payable $20.00 per month for teo months . Turner Regular Meeting August 28th 1943 At a regular meeting iB the Town Board of the Town of 4uoensbury, held on the above date at 7:' 30 P.M. at the Town Clerk's Office, the following members were present; D. Minutes of minutes held on the 24ttlay of Jul 1943 wer e read and approved. y ' Petition signed by 61 residents of uueensbury was presented to the board requesting that a stop and go light for traffic be placed at the corner -of Dix Avenue, �ueensbury and C6unty Line Road. Petittion referred to highway committee. Mr. Harris generally discussed with the Board the drainage 1 of Dixon Road near Ashely Place and the following resolution was introduced and adopted: Resolution No. 23, Introduced by Mr. Sleight; Seconded by Mr. Nobles. It was .resolved that the Tow Department of Highways be and is hereby authorized to sower Ditch Level and install Tile, time above . and below Ashely Place parallel to Dixon Road providing the Town Superintendent -of Highways obtains ease- ments to all property from property owners whose property is effected by the lowering of the said ditch level and installing the said the above and below Ashely Place parallel to Dixon Road. ,. Duly adopted by the following vote : Ayes- Mr. Walkup, Mr, Nobled, Mr. Lampoon, Mr. Sleight and Mr. Fowler. Noes- None Resolution No. 24, Introduced by Mr. Walkup, Seconded by fir. Nobles. It was resolved that Supervisor be and - is hereby authorized to transfer from the supplus account to the Machinery fund, 16 the sum Qf 42000.00.
