Turner Regular Meeting August 28th 1943 « At a regular meeting bt the Town Board of the Town of iusenabury, hold on the above date at 7 30 P.M. at the Town Clerk's Office, the following members were present; D. Elmer Fowler . Supervisor Charles Nobles Justice of Peace "Henry Sleight Justice of Peace Curtis Lampoon Councilman Raymond Walkup Councilman H. Russell Harris Town Superintendnent of Highways also present. Minutes of minutes held on the 24thay of July ,1 943 were read and approved. Petition signed by 61 residents of 4ueensbury was to the board requesting that a stop and go light f oresented g traffic be placed at the corner of Dix Avenue, and Ceunty Line Road. Petitton referred tohighwaybury committee. ' Mr. Harris generally discussed with toe Board the drainage of Dixon Road near Ashely Place and the following resolution was introduced and adopted: , l Resolution No. 23, Introduced by Mr. Sleitht; Seconded by r Mr. Nobles. It was ,resolved that the Tow Department of Highways be and is hereby authorized to war Ditch Level and install Tj/e, tics above and below Ashely Place parallel to Dixon Read, providing the Town Superintendent -of Highways obtains ease- ments to all property from property owners whose property is effected by the lowering of the said ditch level and installing i the said the above and below Ashely Placer parallel to Dixon Road. . ! Duly adopted by the following vote : 14 Ayes- Mr. Walkup, Mr. Nobled, Mr. Lampoon, Mr. Sleight and f .. Mr. Fowler. f Noes- None i Resolution No, 24, Introduced by Mr. Walkup, Seconded by Mr. Nobles. It was resolved that the Town Board be recommends that Ruel ..: E. Hopkins .Republican and Donald J. Sullivan, Democrats be appointed Custodian of voting machines for the Town of 4ueensbury. Further resolved that the said Custodians shall be paid the sum of .;50900 each. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes- Mr. .`,Cralkup, Mr. Nobles, Mr. Lampoon, Mr. Slei#ht and Mr. Fowler.
