Regular meeting o June 23rd,1945
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of
Queensbury, held on the above date, at 7 :30 P.M. at the
Clerk's Office the. following members were present;
D.Elmer Fowler, Supervisor
Henry Sleight Justice of the Peace
Meredith Bentley Justice of the Peace
Curtis Lampson Councilman
Raymond Walkup Councilman
H. Russell Harris Town Superintendent of Highways also present/
Minutes of meeting held on the 26th of May, 1945 read and
approved.
The following communications were read to the Board by the
clerk.
To the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury
Gentlemen:
Due to an accident caused by a tree falling on our old loader
it is damaged beyond repair and as we have needed a new
loader for a long time, I would like to recommend the
purchase of a new conveyor.

To the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury :
T would like to recommend the purchase of 1 k3- 1 ton cab
and chassis-make- International, to be used as a pickup
on the highways of the Town of Queensbury.
At the present time our old dodge pickup is unfit for service
and wotth the necessary repair.

Resolution No 17, Introduced by Justice Sleight, seconded
by Mr Walkup.
Whereas the Town Board is considering, upon the recommendation
• of the Town Superintendent of. Highways. the. purchase of the
following equipment:
1 Sand Loader
1-1 Ton truck with cab.
Therefore be it resolved that the Town Clerk give notice thit
a public hearing will be held thereon by publishing once in
. the G1ens. Falls Times a notice that the Town Board of. the Town
_ of Queensbury will meet on the 30th day of June, 1945. at 7:30
P.M. at the office. of the Town Clerk on Ridge Road in. said
Town of Queensbury, to hear any and all persons in favor of
. or against the purchase of said- equipment.
Dulv adopted by the following vote :
Ayes : Mr Walkup, Mr. Bentlev, Mr Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Per
Fowler.
Noes : None.
Resolution No. 18, Introduced by Councilman Lampson, Seconded

It was resolved that the following be and are hereby appointed
inspectors of election for a term beginning July 2nd, 1945.

hereby fixed at $10600 per day.

The clerk read a communication afrom collins Fox. , Inc
which quoted a price of $1058 fob Yorke Pan on a sand loader.
Monthly statement of supervisor of moneys received and dis-
bursed in the month of May was read to the board andplaced
on file.
The clerk read a communication from B, K Clifford in reference
to a claim for $120* in connection with civilian defense.
