The following comments are based on review of drawings:
• Verify fire extinguisher location
• CO detection required , need layout
• Verify operation of exit / Emergency lighting.
• Lock / latches shall comply with Chapter 10 of 2015 IBC. Panic hardware
required on "A" occupancies. No key or thumbturn devices accepted.
• Verify paths of egress
• Verify storage
• Install Knox Box and main entrance for FD use and provide keys
• Elevator knox lock box required in elevator lobby
• Truss ID required at all ingress and egress points
• Complete fire alarm system submittals required including:
- Contractors license
- Complete system layout
- Spec. sheets for all equipment and appliances
- Central station monitoring
- Storbe device external over FDC, active on all fire alarms
- FM witness inspection before CO
- NFPA 72 completion report
- NFPA 72 Inspection and Testing report
• Complete sprinkler and standpipe system submittals required including:

- Complete layout
- Hydraulic calculations
- NFPA 13 completion report required
• Electric service panels to have all breakers labelled. Exit and emergency
lighting will require dedicated breakers for future testing
• Clothes dryer venting must be directly to building exterior
• Complete elevator submittals required including:
- Drawings and specifications for the equipment
- QEI inspection along with FM witness required for acceptance
• Egress signage in all guest rooms
• IFC 2015 Section 507.5.1.1 requires a fire hydrant for standpipe system
within 100' of FDC. The location will need to be determined after receipt of
sprinkler plans.
