1945-07-28 257 REGULAR MEETI G 1111 ,28th,1945 y , At aregular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, held on the above date at the Clerks Office at 7 :30 P.M. , the following_ members were present : D. Elmer Fowler Supervisor Henry Sleight Justice of the Peace Meredith Bentley Justice of the Peace Curtis Lampson Councilman Raymond Walkup Councilman H. Russell Harris Town Superintendent of Highways also present. Minutes of meetings of June 23rd and June 30th read and approved. Mrs Nolan and Mr ©udekirk called on the Board in reference to drainage along the Meadow Brook Road. The Board generally dicussed the matter with them and the Town Superintendent of Highways and the matter was refered to the Highway Committee. The Clerk Head a communication from Robert Stott who tendered his resignation as Democrate inspector of elections district 3. Resolution No 21 introduced by Justice Sleight, seconded by Justice Bentley Whereas Robert Stott, democratic Inspector of Electio ns District 5, has submitted his resignation as. such inspector. Resolved that said resignation be accepted. Further resolved that Mary D Sullivan be and is hereby appointed Democratic inspector of elections District 3 to fill the vacancy Duly adopted by the following vote : Ayes : Mr Walkup, Mr Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr Fowler. Noes: None. She clerk read a communication from L'illard Coon requesting appointment as Truant Officer. Resolution No 22 Introduced by Councilman Lampson, Seconded by Councilman Walkup It was resolved that Millard F Coon be and is hereby appointed Town Attendance Officer for the schools of the Town of Queensbury outside of Distrcct No 2 for the School year 1945-46 at an annual salary of $200. a year payable $20. per- monthe tor 10 Months. Said appointment subject approval of District SupT. of Schools. Duly adopted by the following vote : Ayes ; Mr Walkup, Mr Bentley, Mr Lampson, Mr Sleight and Mr Fofter. Noes : None. The clerk read Monthly statement of moneys received and disbursed by the supervisor for the month of June. The same placed on file.
