RESOLUTION CALLING FOR QUEENSBURY BOARD OF HEALTH RESOLUTION NO. 31 , 1990, Introduced by Mrs . Marilyn Potenza who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mr. George Kurosaka: RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby moves into the Queensbury Board of Health. Duly adopted this 19th day of December, 1990 by the following vote: - Ayes : Mr. Kurosaka, Mrs . Potenza, Mr. Montesi , Mr. Borgos Noes : None `— Absent: Mrs . Monahan Supervisor Borgos-Mr. Jim Weller is present this evening he has requested by letter to be certified by the local Board of Health to determine seasonal high water. Councilman Kurosaka-I have known Mr. Weller professionally and personally for years . Supervisor Borgos-Do you believe that he is competent? Councilman Kurosaka-Yes . Supervisor Borgos-He can perform the task required. Councilman Kurosaka-I believe so . RESOLUTION CERTIFYING INDIVIDUAL RE: HIGH GROUND WATER RESOLUTION NO. 32, 1990, Introduced by Mr. George Kurosaka who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mrs . Marilyn Potenza: RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Board of Health of the Town of Queensbury hereby certifies Mr. Jim Weller P.E. as an individual who can determine seasonal high ground water in accordance with the methods ,stated in the Sanitary Sewer Ordinance Section 5 .030 B 7 in Appendix F of the Town of Queensbury. Monahan QUEENSBURY TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON TOWN FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACTS RESOLUTION NO. 733 , 1990, Introduced by Mr. George Kurosaka who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mr. Ronald Montesi : WHEREAS, there has been duly established in the Town of Queensbury a Fire Protection District known as the Town of Queensbury Fire Protection District embracing the entire territory of said Town and the Town Board of said Town has previously arranged to provide fire protection therein by contracts with -, five (5) fire companies known as : Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Co . , Inc . , North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Co . , Inc . , Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Co . , Inc . , South Queensbury Volunteer Fire .Co . , Inc . , and West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Co . , Inc . , and WHEREAS, it is necessary pursuant to law for this Town Board to provide for furnishing of fire protection within said Town of Queensbury Fire Protection District, and WHEREAS, Section 184 of the Town Law requires to public hearing upon the contract provisions for such fire protectioD, and WHEREAS , the said contracts are presented at this meeting, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be had with reference to the proposed contracts for the furnishing of fire protection for the Town of Queensbury Fire Protection District on January 3rd, 1991, at the Queensbury Activities Center, Town of Queensbury, 531 Bay Road, Queensbury, New York at 4: 30 P.M. and that notice of such hearing be published in the Post-Star Newspaper, once at least 10 days prior to the said hearing, and that such notice shall specify the time when • and the place where said hearing will be held and describe in general terms the proposed contracts, and be in the form presented at this meeting, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that copies of the r posed contracts be t p p qp kept and maintained in the Town Clerk' s Mice and be made available for inspection by any interested party. Monahan, Mr. Borgos Noes : None Absent: None Supervisor Borgos-Reviewed the contracts with the Board. . .noting the dollar amounts were adjusted, we are willing to investigate the setting up of a new Fire Advisory Committee which would replace the so called Fire Study Committee . . .we have agree to a 2 year agreement with North Qsby. . . .the others 3 year agreements with dollars agreed on in two. . .as an appendix to the contract the budgets for each of the fire companies . . . Councilman Montesi-Questioned the difference between 90 and 91 . . . Supervisor Borgos-The total increase for the fire dept. is $1 , 000 . the total increase for the rescue squads if $600.00 Councilman Monahan-Noted that she had spoken with firemen for various departments that are concern on where their contracts are going and they feel it is time to be more conservative . . . Supervisor Borgos-Announced the Organizational Meeting as January 3rd. 1990 at 4: 30 P.M. Discussion held on Resolution passed by the Qsby. Planning Board: directing the Planning Dept. not to g P accept site plan applications or subdivisions which involve Zoning Dist. that are not or have not been formally adopted. . . requested to see the minutes of the meeting in order to determine what this proposal means . . .turned over to-the Attorney for an interpretation. . . Discussion held on Association of Town' s Meeting and a Solid Waste Management 'Conference . . .Mr. Montesi requested to go to the Solid Waste Management Conference . . .January 29-31st. in New York City. . .
