D. Elmer Fowler Supervisor Henry Sleight Justice of the Peace Meredith Bentley Justice of the Peace v" Curtis lampson Councilman Raymond Walkup Councilman H. Russell Harris Town Superintendent of Highways also present. Bids were recived as follows; Ralph Elmore for 28 ft Ace belt conveyor with motor$$0.00 $940 or 10 %' of bid enclosed. Harold Harris submitted bids -as follows: Roem grader $16.50 A5 International Cab and Chassis $65.50 A5 International Dump box and hoist $76.50 1 Willitt Underbody scraper Jg5.00 1 Ace belt conveyor $69.50 $23.30 was enclosed with Harris bid. Wemer Corp. $170. for three pieces of equipment ; namely International truck Dodae pickup and gravel loader- No deposit made in Wemer Bid. pesolution No 27 Introduced by Councilman Lampson, Seconded by Justice Sleight. Nherewas the Town Board did advertise for bids for the sale of certain road machinery and bids were received as follows : From Harold Harris Rome greader $16.50: - Ace belt cohveyor $69.50 Willitt Underbody scraper $5.00 A5 Int. Cab & Chassis $65.50 Dump box and hoist to go with A5 Int truck $76 .50 . A deposit of $23.30 received . Deposit received of $9 .00 Therefore be it resolved that the bid of Ralph Elmore for the 26f sale of the 28 ft .ice conveyor be accepted and that the Town superintendent of -Highways -be and hereby is authorized to sell said belt conveyor to the said Ralph Elmore. It is further resolved that the bids of Harold Harris and V. W. Weeks be and the same are heresy rejected for the reason they are insufficient. - It is further resolved that the clerk be and is hereby authorized to return all doneyd deposited with bids except Elmore bid. None Justice Sleight offered,,:the following resolution No 28 which was seconded by Councilman Lampson, WHereas, the Whitehall Autobus. , Inc. has filed with this Town Board a petition for consent, under and pursuant to Section 66 of the Transportation Corporations Law of the State of New York, to establish and operate omnibus or motor vehicle rputes upon along certain streets, avenues and public places in the Town of Queensbury, Now therefore, be it resolved that a hearing be held on said application on the 8th day of September, 1945 at 7:30 o ' clock in the Town Clerk's office and that said notice of such hearing be published in the Glens Falls Times and the Glens Falls Post Star. Duly adopted by the following vote : Aves ; Mr Walkup, Mr Bentley, Mr Lampson, Mr. Sleight and ` Mr Fowler, Noes :-None. On motion Meeting Adjourned, Bert D. The public hearing was adjourned to allowed the petitioners to furnishproof of publication to the 22nd day of September, 1945. at 7:30 P.M. Resolution No 29 Introduced by Justice sleight seconded by Justice Bentley. It was resolved that the sum of $155.50 be and is hereby appropiated from the contingent fund to defray the expenses incurred to dedicate service flag for the Town Honor roll for the service men and women of worl war 11.
