Town Clerk Regular meeting October 27th,1945 At ,aregular_meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, held on the ,above date at 7 :30 P.M. at the Clerk's office, the following members were present; D.Elmer Fowler Supervisor Henry Sleight Justice of the peace Meredith Bentley Justice of the peace Curtis Lampson Councilman Raymond .Walkup Councilman H. Russell Harris, Town Superintendent of Highways also present. Minutes of meetings held September 22nd, and October 5th,1945 were read and approved. Mr Oudekirk called on the Board in reference to drainage along the Meadow Brook Road. The Board generally discussed the matter with him and the Town Superintendent and no action was taken. Resolution No 35 Introduced by Justice Bentley, see onded by Councilman 'Walkup. IIHEREAS a dangerous traffic condition exists on U.S.Highway #9 at the Junction of the Aviation Road and Pine View Road with the said U.S.Highway #9 and it is the opinion of this Board that an automatic traffic control be installed at said Junction; and 01hereas numerous automobile collisions have occured at or near said Junction resulting in the loss of life and serious injuries to automobile occupants and property damage. Therefore be it resolved that Justice Sleight be and is hereby appointed a committee of one to take the matter of installing of an automatic traffic control at the Junction of the Aviation Field Rd with U.S.Highway #9, up with Mr Bisbee and the- State Highway Department. Duly adopted by thefollowing vote : Ayes : Wr Walkup, Mr, Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr Fowler. Noes: None. Resolution No ,.36 ; Introduced by Justice Sleight , Seconded by Justice Bentley. It was resolved that the Supervisor be and is hereby authorized and directed to transfer from the Bridge Fund to the Miscellaneous Fund the sum of $200.00 Dule Adopted by the following vote : Ayes : Mr 'Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr, Lampson, Mr. Sleight-and Mr. Fowler. Proof of posting notices of public hearing on preliminary budget filed. Ruel Hopkins , and George Graney also present. The Board generally discussed the budget and no appearing to oppose any of the items of the Budget the following resolution was adopted . - Resolution No 37, Introduced by Justice Bentley, seconded by Justice Sleight. ° `WHEREAS this Town Board has met at the time and place specified in the notice of public hearing on the preliminary blidr,e± heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon ; i RESOLVED that such preliminary budget be and is hereby adODted ' as the annual budget of the Town for fiscal Wear beginning JajjhEj�y 1st, 1946 and that. such budget as so adopted be entered'' in detail in the minutes of the proceedings o' this Board and be it further RESOLVED that the Town Clerk of this Ton shall prepare and certify in duplicate copies of said annual budget as adopted by this Board, together with the assessment rolls for benefit improvements , if any, adopted pursuant to section 202A, sub 2 of the Town Law and delivery one copy thereof to the supervisor! of this Town to be presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of the County.
