WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury’s Highway Superintendent has advised the Town Board
that he wishes to advertise for bids for the purchase of a used track-mounted screening plant to be used
by the Town Highway Department as will be described in bid documents/specifications to be prepared
by the Highway Superintendent and/or Town Purchasing Agent, and
WHEREAS, General Municipal Law §103 requires that the Town advertise for bids and award
the bid to the lowest responsible bidder meeting New York State statutory requirements and the
requirements set forth in the Town’s bidding documents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town
Purchasing Agent to publish an advertisement for bids for the used track-mounted screening plant
truck in the official newspaper for the Town of Queensbury, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Purchasing Agent to
open, read aloud and record all bids received and present the bids to the next regular or special Town
Board meeting.
