The following comments are based on review of drawings:
• Verify fire extinguisher location
• CO detection required, both floors
• Verify operation of exit/Emergency lighting.
• Lock/latches shall comply with Chapter 10 of 2015 IBC.
• Verify paths of egress
• Verify storage
• Provide Knox Box at entrance for FD use, www.knoxbox.com
• Truss ID signage required
• All stairways need emergency lighting
• If a fire alarm system i8s planned, all submittals needed prior to install
Note: Range hood suppression requires occupant notification if fire alarm
system is not utilized.
• Need complete kitchen layout-
- Appliance layout
- Hood specifications
- Suppression specifications
- Mounting clearance details for hood
- Include fan override
- Grease light test required
- Hinge kit on hood for future cleaning
