Dear Mr. Bacon:
I am writing to you with regards to the above-referenced Building Permit application
that has been submitted to us on your behalf.
I have reviewed your application materials and find that your proposed project will
require an Area Variance approval prior to the issuance of your permit for the proposed
construction. Specifically, the proposed 408 sf addition results in an overall garage
square footage of 984 after you add in your existing 576 sf garage. The maximum
allowable garage square footage is 900 sf. If you wish to change your plans to a
maximum 900 sf total, we will need you to revise the plans that you have submitted and
we will then process your application.
Your application materials cannot be further reviewed until these matters have been
resolved. An Area Variance application is enclosed. Placement of your application on
the Board agenda is subject to the submittal deadlines as outlined in the application.
