109.2008 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR SALE OF OBSOLETE TRUCK RESOLUTION NO.: 109, 2008 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. John Strough WHEREAS, in accordance with New York State Town Law §64(2), the Queensbury Town Board may authorize the sale of items which are no longer needed by the Town or obsolete, and WHEREAS, the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department has declared a 2000 Dodge Ram, ¾ Ton Pick-Up Truck (112,861 miles) with an 8’ Fischer Plow as surplus, and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department advised Town Departments of the surplus truck and plow and did not receive any requests from the Departments and therefore has requested Town Board authorization to sell the truck and plow by advertising in the official Town newspaper, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves the sale of the Town Parks and Recreation Department’s 2000 Dodge Ram, ¾ Ton Pick-Up Truck (112,861 miles) with an 8’ Fischer Plow that is no longer needed by the Town or obsolete, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town’s Purchasing Agent to publish an advertisement for bids to sell the surplus truck and plow in the official newspaper for the Town of Queensbury, and that all Town proceeds from the sale shall be deposited in accordance with the Queensbury Town Code and Laws of the State of New York, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Purchasing Agent to open all bids received, read the same aloud and record the bids as is customarily done and present the bids to the next regular or special meeting of the Town Board. th Duly adopted this 28 day of January, 2008, by the following vote: AYES: Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec, Mr. Metivier, Mr. Montesi NOES: None ABSENT: None
