RESOLUTION APPOINTING MARY HAND AS
DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
RESOLUTION NO. 344, 2008

WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy in the full-time Director of Information Technology
position, and
WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board posted availability for the position, reviewed
resumes, interviewed interested candidates and now wish to appoint a Director of Information
Technology,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby appoints Mary Hand as Director of
Information Technology, an overtime exempt and Grade 9M position within the Town of

Queensbury’s Non-Union Position Grade Schedule, effective on or about August 11, 2008, subject to
administrative guidelines set forth in the Town’s Employee Management system and any applicable
Civil Service requirements, and subject to the Town successfully completing background checks as
reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that Ms. Hand shall be paid an annual salary of $57,000, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or
Town Budget Officer to complete any documentation and take such other and further action necessary
to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
