503.2008 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF DAVID HALL TO HANDLE DOG BITE INCIDENTS ON TEMPORARY BASIS RESOLUTION NO. :503, 2008 INTRODUCED BY Mr. John Strough WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY : Mr. Anthony Metivier WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury’s full-time Animal Control Officer is currently out of work, and WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to hire the Town of Warrensburg’s Animal Control Officer, David Hall, on a temporary basis to handle the Town’s dog bite incidents until such time that the Town’s full-time Animal Control Officer returns to work, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of David Hall to investigate and pursue reports of dog bites or attacks consistent with §121 of the th Agriculture and Markets Law on a temporary basis effective October 27, 2008 until such time that the full-time Animal Control Officer returns to work or until further action by this Board, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that Mr. Hall shall be treated as a Contractor and therefore will not receive benefits and will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting all payments made to him, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that Mr. Hall shall be paid $50 per incident, such fee to include follow-up and completion of the dog bite case, however, should the matter go to Court, then the Town shall pay Mr. Hall for his time related to the Court action at the rate of $15.15 hourly, plus mileage, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any forms and take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 27 day of October, 2008, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec, Mr. Metivier NOES : None ABSENT: Mr. Montesi
