RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REMUNERATION TO
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION EMPLOYEE
JAMIE FLANSBURG FOR UNUSED VACATION TIME

WHEREAS, Jamie Flansburg, Senior Building Maintenance Mechanic for the Town of
Queensbury’s Department of Parks and Recreation, accumulated and ultimately forfeited six and a half
st
(6.5) vacation days that he was unable to use before December 31, 2020 due to the Department’s
many work projects requiring Mr. Flansburg’s participation and supervision, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Flansburg has requested that the Town Board authorize remuneration for
these unused vacation days at Mr. Flansburg’s 2019 rate of pay of $27.55 per hour, plus longevity, and
the Parks and Recreation Director has recommended Town Board approval of this request, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has considered and wishes to approve this request with the
understanding that such approval shall not be considered as a precedent for approval of any future
requests for any Town employees,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town
Budget Officer to arrange for the remuneration to Jamie Flansburg, Senior Building Maintenance
Mechanic for the Town’s Department of Parks and Recreation, for six and a half (6.5) vacation days at
Mr. Flansburg’s 2019 rate of pay of $27.55 per hour, plus longevity, such approval not to be
considered as a precedent for approval of any future requests for any Town employees, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Parks and
Recreation Director and/or Town Budget Officer to take any actions necessary to effectuate the terms
of this Resolution.
