1936-08-25 143 August 250p 1936 Regular Meeting At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of queensburys held on the above date, at 7 PM at the Town Clerk' s Office, the following members were present. D. Elmer Fowler Supervisor Floyd Ellsworth, Justive of Peaet Charles Nobles Meredith Bentley Curtis Lampson Bert D. Turner Town Cl erk Minutes of meetings held on Julys 28th, July 29th, July 31st, August 5th, August 11th, and August 18th read and approved. --- Mr. Fred Bascom with others appeared and spoke in behalf of a proposed raad along the North West side of Glen Lake and the South East s1deof Glen Lake after discussion the following resolution was adopted. RESOLUTION No. 619 Introduced by Mr. Nobles seconded by Mr. Lampson, IT WAS RESOLVED the McLaren Richards be and is hereby authorized and requested to make survey and work up W. P. A. Project for the following Proposed roads. Road on the North West Side of Glen Lake. Road on the. South East Side of Glen Lake, Wky adopted by the following vote. Ayes - Mr. El-11we rth, Mr. Nobles, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson and Mr. Fowler. Noes - None. RESOLUTION No. 62 Introduced by Mr. Lampson, seconded by Mr. Nobles, IT WAS RESOLVED that Supervisor be and is hereby authorized to purchase six chairs for use in No. #4 Election District. DULY adopted by the following vote. Ayes - Mr. Ellsworth, Mr. Nobles, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson and Mr. ,Fowler, Noes - Nct. RESOLUTION No 63 Introduced by Mr. Bentley and seconded by Mr. Ellsworth, IT WAS RESOLVED that Supervisor be and is hereby authorized to purchase for the Town of queensbury of a paymaster gheck writer teas ether with Fidelity and Casualty Co. , of New York forgery Bond of 10000, at tae cost of $83.25. SPECIAL MEETING f September 9th, 1966 � At a spec&l meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Queensburyy held on the above date, at 7 PM at the Clerk' s Office, the following members were present. D. Turner Town C]e rk, RESOLUTION No. 65, Introduced by Mr. Lampoon, seconded by Mr. Nobles. WHEREA , the Town Board did on the 5th day of August 1936 pass resolutdn #58 appropiatng and making provisions for raising money for the repair of the Oneida Corners to the Washington County Line Road and the Aviatdn field Road so called. THEREFORE be it resolved that the said resolution #5 'be and the same is `hereby recinded. DULY, adopted bythe following vote: e Ayes - Mr. Ellsworth, Mr. Nobles, N"r. Lampoon and Mr. Fowler Noes - Mr. Bentley a RESOLUTION No. 66, Introduced by Mr. Nobles, seconded by Mr. Ellsworth. 17HEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, deems the Aviation Field Road unsafe for Public Travel. RESOLVED that pursuant to the provisions of section 93 of the Highway Law there be and is appropiated and made advailable for the Aviation Field Road beginning at the end of the present stone Road and continuing West tor a distance not to exceed one Mile the sum of $700. IT IS FURTHER resolved the pursuant to the provisions of Section 93 of she Highway .Law and the provisions of the Town Law the Supervisor be and hereby is authorized to borrow on the faith and credit of said Town the said sum of A700. or so much thereof as maybe x necessary for said work.
