278.2006 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED ON HICKORY HOLLOW ROAD AND STONEWALL DRIVE IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY FROM ELISABETH DAY RESOLUTION NO.: 278, 2006 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Richard Sanford WHEREAS, Elisabeth Day has offered to donate to the Town of Queensbury two (2) parcels of land located on Hickory Hollow Road and Stonewall Drive, Queensbury designated as Tax Map No.’s: 297.6-1-3 and 297.6-1-2 to the Town’s Recreation Commission, and WHEREAS, the Town Recreation Commission has evaluated and approved the proposed donation of the two (2) parcels, and WHEREAS, the Town Board feels that acquisition of the parcels will benefit Town residents and therefore the Board wishes to authorize their acceptance, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and accepts the transfer of two (2) parcels of land from Elisabeth Day located on Hickory Hollow Road and Stonewall Drive, Queensbury designated as Tax Map No.’s: 297.6-1-3 and 297.6-1-2 to the Town, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or the Town’s Director of Parks and Recreation to send a certified copy of this Resolution to Elisabeth Day with a letter from the Town thanking Ms. Day for her generosity in donating the parcels to the Town, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute any and all documents necessary to complete this transaction including a Deed, Real Property Transfer Report and Capital Gains Affidavit in form acceptable to Town Counsel and take such other and further action as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 5 day of June, 2006, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Stec, Mr. Boor, Mr. Sanford, Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer NOES : None ABSENT: None
