289.2006 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSAL FOR LEAD-BASED PAINT RISK ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION NO.: 289, 2006 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Richard Sanford WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Roger Boor WHEREAS, by Resolution 197, 2006 the Queensbury Town Board authorized the Town’s Community Development Department to prepare and distribute a Request for Proposals for lead based paint risk assessment services as recommended by the New York State Governor’s Office for Small Cities, and WHEREAS, the Community Development Department prepared and distributed Requests for Proposals to qualified businesses in the Queensbury and Capital District areas, and WHEREAS, the Community Development Department duly received and opened proposals from two (2) qualified businesses, and WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has recommended that the Town Board authorize and accept the lowest responsible proposal as submitted by Leadsafe Environmental who has offered to provide Lead Based Paint Risk Assessment to the Town on an on-call/as-needed basis for a three (3) year term beginning June 1, 2006 for a per single unit cost of four hundred ninety- five dollars ($495), NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes engagement of Leadsafe Environmental to provide Lead Based Paint Risk Assessment on an on-call/as-needed basis for a three (3) year term beginning June 1, 2006 for a per single unit cost of four hundred ninety-five dollars ($495), and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to sign any documentation, including any agreement in form acceptable to Town Counsel, and the Town Supervisor, Executive Director of Community Development, Purchasing Agent and/or Budget Officer to take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 5 day of June, 2006, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Boor, Mr. Sanford, Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec NOES : None ABSENT: None
