342.2006 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FROM NEW YORK STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT STATE ARCHIVES AND RECORDS ADMINISTRATION FOR CONVERSION OF VITAL RECORDS FROM MICROFILM TO LASERFICHE AND ESTABLISHING APPROPRIATIONS AND ESTIMATED REVENUES FOR SUCH FUNDS RESOLUTION NO.: 342, 2006 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. John Strough WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Daniel Stec WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 545,2005 the Queensbury Town Board authorized submission of an application for a Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund Grant (LGRMIF) from the New York State Education Department State Archives and Records Administration (SARA) to be used by the Town for the conversion of vital records from microfilm to laserfiche, and WHEREAS, the grant application was submitted and the Town has been awarded the LGRMIF grant in the amount of $2,452, and WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to authorize acceptance of such grant funds and establish appropriations and estimated revenues for the grant award, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby accepts the $2,452 in Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund Grant (LGRMIF) grant funds to be received from the New York State Education Department State Archives and Records Administration (SARA), such funds to be used by the Town for the conversion of vital records from microfilm to laserfiche, and authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or Town Clerk to execute the LGRMIF Grant Acceptance Form presented at this meeting and any other associated documentation, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby establishes appropriations and estimated revenues in the amount of $2,452 for such grant funds received by the Town, such appropriations and estimated revenues to be recorded in accounts to be determined by the Town Budget Officer, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Budget Officer to make any necessary adjustments, budget amendments, transfers or prepare any documentation necessary to establish such appropriations and estimated revenues and authorizes the Town Supervisor, Town Clerk and/or Budget Officer to take all other action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 17 day of July, 2006, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Sanford, Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec, Mr. Boor NOES : None ABSENT : None
