Ms. Papa,
An application for a Certificate of Occupancy was received on August 29, 2011, for the above
referenced business to occupy the space. In order for an inspection to be conducted and a
Certificate of Occupancy issued, all site criteria must first be satisfied.
In this situation,the property owner was advised that a site plan review was required for this site,
prior to any new business being inspected or granted a CO. This process still has not been
satisfactorily accomplished. Until this is completed no inspection can be undertaken,therefore
the business cannot be allowed to operate.
I have personally witnessed on two occasions,what appears to be dance classes or instructions
being conducted within the facility. The NYSFC section 109.1 outlines that the minimum
requirements of 19NYCRR Part 1203 shall be enforced. This includes every business have a
Certificate of Occupancy to operate.
Please refrain from form conducting business at this site, until an inspection is completed and the
Certificate of Occupancy is issued.
