453.2006 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENGAGEMENT OF BARTON & LOGUIDICE, P.C., FOR PROVISION OF SEPTIC-RELATED DEEP HOLE AND PERCOLATION TESTS RESOLUTION NO.: 453, 2006 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Roger Boor WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to engage the services of an engineering firm for the provision of septic-related deep hole and percolation tests for the Town’s Building and Codes Enforcement Department during the interim time period when the Town is presently in-between service contracts with engineering firms, and WHEREAS, Barton & Loguidice, P.C. (Barton) has offered to provide such services on a time and expense basis in accordance with Barton’s current billing rate schedule in effect at the time the services are rendered, or for the estimated amount of $550 - $650 per septic review, as more fully set th forth in Barton’s September 20, 2006 letter presented at this meeting, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes the engagement of Barton & Loguidice, P.C. (Barton) for the provision of septic-related deep hole and percolation tests for the Town’s Building and Codes Enforcement Department on a time and expense basis in accordance with Barton’s current billing rate schedule in effect at the time the services are rendered, or for the estimated amount of $550 - $650 per septic review, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board will determine a policy concerning billing and collection for such services as necessary, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that after Barton performs each septic-related deep hole and percolation test, Barton shall forward its findings to the Town Board for Town Board review and if the Town Board is satisfied with such findings, then the Town Board will notify and authorize the Town’s Director of Building and Codes Enforcement to proceed with the standard process for issuance of either a building permit or new septic system, or for application and/or issuance of a septic variance, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Director of Building and Codes Enforcement and/or Budget Officer to execute any documentation and take such other and further action as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 25 day of September, 2006, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Boor, Mr. Sanford, Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec NOES : None ABSENT: None
