1934-03-27 71 Pa r.0 Regular Meeting March 27th 1934 At a regular meeting of the town board of the Town of Queensbury, held on the above date at 2 PM* at the c1terks office, the following menbers were present, Jerry B. Mead Supervisor Floyd Ellsworth, Justice of peace Charles Nobles " Henry Stevenson " Meredith Bentley " Bert D. Turner Town Clerk Minutes of meeting held on Feb. 27th and 28th 1934 read and approved Arthur H. Stone town Supt, of Highways ztaiCounty Attorney Beecher Clother , F. Rae Suprenant, Mr Meyer and T. R. Brining also present Resolution #26 ,introduced by Justice Ellsworth, seconded by Justice Stevenson, It was resolved that the chairman be and is hereby authorize' to appoint a committee of two menbers to investigate the condition of the road on assembly point at Burnt Hill So-called and the turn at o or near Jacksons Residence, The Chairman appointed Mr, Ellsworth and Mr. Bentley Roll Call as follows Mr . A petition 11aving been duly presented to the Town Board far establishin avater district to include property o both sides of the Glens Falls hake George Highway, near Miller Hill, to be known as the" North Glens Falls Water District ", an- d to lay mains along said highway to connect with the water mains of the city of Glens Falls, at an estimated cost of$159000. , signed by owners of taxable property situate in the proposed district, owning in the aggregate more than one-half of the assessed valuation of all the taxable real property of- the proposed district, as shown upon the last com- pleted assessment roll of said town, it is ORDER, That pursuant to the provisions of section 193 of the town law, the Town Board will meet at the Town Clerk' s Office, Ridge Road, in said Town, on the 12th day of April, 1934 ,at 2 o'clock P.M. , to consider the said petition and hear. alt and all persons intereested in - the subject thereof, or concertAgg the same. Introduced by Justice Bentley seconded by Justice Nobles, It was resolved that the Glens Fails Times be and is hereby des designated as oofficial news paper for publishing noticee, Roil call as follows; Supervisor Mead- yes ,Justice Ellsworth-yes Justice Nobles -yes, Justice Bentley-yes and Justice Stevenson-yes Resolution #29 Introduced by .Justice Nobles, seconded by Justice S Stevensoa, it was resolved that there shall be expended on the high_ of the town of Queensbury for general repairs an average sum of $146 per mile for 98.55 miles a total of $149388.59 and that there shall be the sUm of $59318,59 placed in the reserve fund as provided by law.
