330.2005 RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING PROPOSED PURCHASE OF ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE FROM MUNIS RESOLUTION NO.: 330, 2005 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. John Strough WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board has received a request from the Town’s Budget Officer to purchase new Accounting Software to replace the current software as discussed in a Town Board workshop and set forth in numerous memos from the Budget Officer, and WHEREAS, such proposed purchase shall not exceed the amount of $165,000 and is requested to be a part of the Capital Improvement Plan and financed through the Capital Reserve Fund, and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Town’s recently revised Capital Improvement Plan Policy (CIP), the Town Board must conduct a public hearing before approving any specific Capital Project listed on the CIP, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board shall meet and hold a public hearing at the th Queensbury Activities Center, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2005 to hear all interested persons and take any necessary action provided by law concerning establishment of any necessary capital reserve account and the funding of the proposed purchase of new accounting software from MUNIS, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk to publish and post a Notice of Public Hearing concerning the proposed Capital Project in the manner provided by law. th Duly adopted this 11 day of July, 2005, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Stec, Mr. Boor, Mr. Turner, Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer NOES : None ABSENT : None
