1930-01-28 Regular Meeting January 28th91930 At a regular meeting of the Town Board , Town of Queensbury held on the above date at 2 P.M.at clerks office the following member were present. Jerry B. Taylor 'x % M.P.Gifford Resolution �2intevduced, by Justice ?&Jtitorth, seconded by clerit Turner,all voting in the affirmation it was resolved, that the agent repreeenting the road machinery Copp, be andare hereby dereeted to submit sealed bids on or before Feb I-1930 at the town ,clerk office upper Ridge St,Town of Queensbury N.Y, Resolution #3 interduced by Juctice Taylor,seconded by Justice a ant,all present voting in the affirmive it was resolved that Snrta Hull,be and hereby is appointed town physician for theensuing years of 1930 &19319 Resolution #4 interduced by Justice Taylor, seconded by Justice Garrant all present voting in tkee affirmative it was resolved that Clerk Turner to have printed for distributing 300 copys of abstracts of audits,for the year of 1929. Resolutinn . #5 interduced by Justice Taylor, seconded by clerk Turner all present voting in the affirmative it was resolved bond of supervisoa Jerry B.-Mead with G.Fg Ferguson D.H.Cowles and James Knights suretts be and hereby is approved as to form and maner of execution and amount. Resolution #6 interduced by Justice Ellsworth seconded by a Justiced Garrant,all present voting in the affirmative, it VaLs resolved'' , that supervisor Jerry B .Mead be and hereby is autherized to pay to Hartinal L.Smith,agent for the Maryland Causelty 'Co, for compen- sation, on policy #VS158263 to the amountof $174.66and he is also autherized to pay the same prior to audit,from the general town fund. Resolution #7 interduced by Justice Taylor,seconded by Justice- Garrent, all present voting in the affirmive,it was resolved that Jerry B.Mead 9upervisor,be and is hereby autherized topay Cool`Ins, agency Inc,for the Fidality and Causelty Co,of N.Y.for Comtendation to the amount of :1736. on policy #6386138 for premium on estimated paynee and he is also authorized to pay the same prior tor, audit from the general town fund Resolution 'No 8 Introduced by Justice Ellsworth, Seconded by Justice 'Taylor k 171 i Pursuant to section #45 of the High Way Law the salary of the Town Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Jueensbury be and is hereby fixed at the sum of 17.00 per day and the further sum of X1.00 per day be and hereby is fixed for the actual and necessary expence incured for the use of automobile for transportation to gether with gas and oil to be furnished by said Town from the pumps at 'the storehouse. As no other business comeing beffore the, Town Board, Board Adjourned as Town Board and went into Session as Town Board Health as recommendation By Dr. G. A. CHAnZ&N as 'jealth Officer ,for the Town of Queensbury for the issuing of Special Licenses for Boarding House for children to Rena Hicks, the following resolution was adopted. Resolution No 1 introduce by Justice Taylor and seconded by Justice Ellsworth. All present voting in the -affirmitive, it ,was resolved that Town Board Health hereby authorized Dr G A Chapman to issue Special License for Boarding House to Rena E. Hicks of Jueensbury for Two Childre under Provissions of Section #442 of the Penal Law and Chapter #8 of the Sanitary Code On motion meeting adjourned, Cleric Special Meeting Fe bruary 6]kh, 1930. Resolution No 9 by Bert D Turner Clerk, Seconded by Justice Taylor all present voting in the a.ffirmitive. Whereas on November 26th, 1929 the Town Board fo the Town fo queensbury ,'-passed Resolutions #43 which Resolutin the Town Superintendant of highways to draw an order on the Supervisors for the Sum of $446.00 and k-= whereas said town Superintendant neglected- to draw said order. Resolved that the Town Superintendant of Highways Arthur H. Stone be and hereby is authorized and directed to draw an -order on the Supervisors payable to Joseph Ricketts in the sum of #246.00 for servi ce performed and expences as Town Superintendant of Highways for the Months of November and December . 1929. Said s*m being in full payment for service and expences rendered by the Town Superintendant during said months of November and December 1928. And further resolved that Resolution #43 duly adopted on the 26th Day November 1929 be and is hereby Recorded. On motion Justice Ellswoth was authorized to open Bids that were receivedk` Bids were read to Board by Chairman and placed on file in Clerks Office, Resolution No 100 introduced by Bert D. Turner, Clerk Seconded by Justice Taylor,. All present voting im the affirmitive. Wherean Joseph Ricketts, Town Superintendant of Highways presented a bill for service and expences during the Months of November and December 1929 amounting to #168.00. Resolved that the present Town Superintendant if Highways be and hereby is authorized and!rydlrecte* to draw an order on the gupervisors payable to Joseph Ricketts in the Sum Sf $168.00 for service performed and expences as Town Superintendant of Highways for the Town of queensbury for the Months of November and December 1929 Said sum being in full payment for service and expences rendered by said Town Superistendant during said months of November and December 1929 �JResolution No 11 introduced by Justice Taylor and Seconded by Clerk Turner all present voting as follows:Aye Ayes Justice Il:lswo*th, Justice Taylor, Justice Gifford. and Clerk Turner Noes Supervisor Mead, Arthur H. Stone, it was- resolved that the Town Board hereby authorized Town Superintendant of Highways Arthy[r H. Stone to purchase a Brockway Ttuck with three Ford Dump Body at a perchase price $5300.00 and he also directed to draw an order for same on the machinery Fund, and it further resolved that the Supervisor is authorise to pay the same prior to audit
