460.2005 RESOLUTION APPOINTING STEVEN LOVERING AS TOWN OF QUEENSBURY DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION RESOLUTION NO. 460, 2005 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. John Strough WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Roger Boor WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury’s Director of Parks and Recreation is retiring on th September 30, 2005 after 27 years of dedicated service, and WHEREAS, the Town’s current Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation has worked in the Parks and Recreation Department since 1990, serving as Assistant Director for the past 11 years, and WHEREAS, the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director successfully completed the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Civil Service Exam and therefore he can be appointed as Director of Parks and Recreation non-provisionally, and WHEREAS, the Recreation Commission has appointed Assistant Director Steven Lovering as the new Director of Parks and Recreation and requested that the Town endorse this appointment, and WHEREAS, the Town Board concurs with the Recreation Commission’s recommendation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby endorses the appointment of Steven st Lovering as the Town of Queensbury’s Director of Parks and Recreation effective October 1, 2005, such appointment being a “non competitive promotion” entitled to exemption according to the Warren County Department of Civil Service, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that Mr. Lovering shall be paid an annual salary to be established by the Town Board, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or Budget Officer to complete any forms and take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 26 day of September, 2005 by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Strough, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec, Mr. Boor NOES : None ABSENT: Mr. Turner
