518.2005 RESOLUTION APPOINTING STEVE LOVERING, PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR TO WARREN COUNTY YOUTH BOARD RESOLUTION NO.: 518, 2005 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. John Strough WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Roger Boor WHEREAS, the Warren County Youth Board is an organization that includes community volunteers, youth and public officials who review local and countywide youth needs and issues, advocate for programs and services to meet the needs of all county youth up to age 21, advise Warren County on programs to be funded with $140,000 in State funds and help frame funding decisions, and WHEREAS, the Warren County Youth Board members are appointed by the Warren County Board of Supervisors and each municipality, including the Town of Queensbury, may select its member, and WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury has a vacancy on the Warren County Youth Board due to the resignation of Harold Hansen, the Town’s former Parks and Recreation Director, and WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to appoint Steve Lovering, the Town’s new Parks and Recreation Director as a member of the Warren County Youth Board, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby selects and appoints Steve Lovering, the Town of Queensbury’s Parks and Recreation Director, to serve as a member of the Warren County Youth Board, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to forward a certified copy of this Resolution with any other needed documentation to the Warren County Youth Bureau and take such other and further action as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 7 day of November, 2005, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec, Mr. Boor, Mr. Turner, Mr. Strough NOES : None ABSENT:None
