1930-07-22 Regular Meeting June 2g 1930. At a Regular meeting of the Town Board Town of Jueensbury held on the above date the following members were presents Jerry B. Mead Supervisor M. P. Gifford Justice Ross F. Taylor of George Garrant Peace Bert Ti. Turner Town Clerk Arthur H Stone Town Supt. of Highways and Mr. Collins of Collins and Fox Co. were also present, Minutes of Meeting of the May 27, 1930 and adjourned meeting of May 319 1930 read and approved, RESOLUTION# 39, introduced by Clerk Turner seconded by Justice Taylor# all present voting in the affirmative, it was resolved that the resolution ; 33 of April 229 be and hereby is rescinded . FFSOLUTION #409 introduced by Justice Taylor, seconded bs, Clerk Turner, rttolved that the Mohican Grange be and hereby is authorised to I remove grass, weeds, and brush and care fdr and preserve eemet ties in the Town of queensbury for the year of 1930 described as follows: cemetery at Stone Church in Harrisena, Lake Sunnyside Cemetery and Cemetery known as Jenkins (Cemetery on the Bay Road near Bradford Thornton Farm, Resolved that the sum of $50,00 be and hereby. is appropriated for - each of the above Cemeteries; it is further resolved that the Supervisor of the Town of Queensbury be and hereby is authorized to pay from the General Fund to the maid Mohican Grange the sum of $50.00 for each of the above described Cemeteries upon presentation of properly verified bills certified by the Secretary of the said Mohican Grange. It is further resolved that work in said Cemeteries shall be completed by the lat.day of Sept,1930, RESOLUTION Als introduced by Clerk Turner, seconded by Justice Giffordp all present voting in the affirmative, it was resolved that Super- visor be and hereby is authorised to pay Cool Insurance Agency Tne. the sum of $72.40 .,'the premium on policy # 384825 covering the renewal of Insurance on the Steam Roller and be it further authorized to pay the same prior to Audit. X ' In the matter of, the petition of the Taxpayers Lafayette Ave. Petitioning the Town to take over the above Named Street for $' Public High- way, the following resolution was adopted, RESOLUTIONr 142,introduced by Justice Taylor, seconded by Clerk Turner, all present voting in the affirmative, it was resolved that the Supervisor be and hereby appionted a committee of 1 to investigate and con- fer with the Co. Attorney in regard to the petition of the Taxpayers residing on Lafayette Ave, as- to the advisability of the Town taking over said road- way as a Public Highway. On motion meeting adjourned. RESOLUTION #43, introduced by Justice Garrant, seconded- by Clerk 26 Turner, all present voting in the affirmative, it was resolved that the Supervisor be and is hereby authorized to continue as committee of 1 to con- fer with Co. Supt. of Highways Murray in regard to a survey of at least 40rt. along the proposed Highway along what is known as Lafayette Ave, RESOLUTION #44, introduced by Justice Garrant, seconded by Justice Gifford, all present voting in the affirmative; it was resolved that Frank Bullard be and is hereby appointed as Town Attendance Office subjected to the approval of Distriet2Supt. Gunn for Schools of Town of Queensbury outside of I Dist. #2 at an annual salary of $200,009 to be paid monthly $20,.00 per month for 10 months and the Supervisor is hereby authorized to pay sauna prior to audit on the presentation of properly verified bills. a G A Petition was read to the Board approving the Board of Issuing License for holding Public Amusement on what is known as League Park, sc_..;.' located between Glens Falls and Hudson Falls. .After some discussion by the Board, the following resolution was adopted; RESOLUTION #45, introduced by Justice Ellsworth, seconded by Justice Gifford, all present voting to the affirmative; it was resolved that the Town Board hereby readtddsrresillatlnn.1#34 adopted at a regular meeting held on April 22, 1930 and further resolved no license as permits to hold Carnivals in the Town of que`nsbury shall be issued. RESOLUTION # 46, introduced by Justice Taylor, seconded by Justice Ellsworth, all present voting in the affirmative; it was resolved that Town Clerk be and is hereby authorized to issue license to James Stewart to opgrAte a Rance Hall as to according with section f 222 of the Town Law; further Resolved that the said lieesse is subject to the formal written application for same. RESOLUTION #489 introduced­by Justice Garrant, second- ed by Justice Gifford, all present voting in the affirmative, it was resolved that the Supervisor be and is hereby authorized to pay the following verified".bills for the eredting of Traffic signs To Fred Lauter painting 45. 00 To Griffin Lumber Co, materials 11.28 Alfred Gardner laberor 5.60 and he is also authorized to pay same prior to audit. ?RESOLUTION #49, introduced by Justice Taylor, second- ed by Justice Ellsworth, all present voting in the affirmative, it was resolved that Supervisor be and hereby is authorized to pay Cool Insurance Agency Inc. the sum of X83.60 on policyy 9:20864 for the renewal insurance on Public Liability on properity de'nage on the heavy Aviation 'Truck and he is also authorized to pay the same prior to audit.
