RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY AND SPCA OF UPSTATE NEW YORK, INC.

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board previously entered into an agreement with the
SPCA of Upstate New York, Inc., (SPCA), providing for the SPCA’s acceptance of dogs seized by
the Town’s Animal Control Officer that are not claimed or adopted from the Glens Falls Animal
Hospital, and
WHEREAS, SPCA and the Town wish to authorize continuance of such Agreement and a
proposed Agreement has been presented at this meeting,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes the
Agreement between the Town and SPCA of Upstate New York, Inc., providing for the SPCA’s
acceptance of dogs seized by the Town’s Animal Control Officer that are not claimed or adopted from
the Glens Falls Animal Hospital, as presented at this meeting, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
execute the Agreement on behalf of the Town of Queensbury, and the Town Board further authorizes
and directs the Town Supervisor and/or Animal Control Officer to take such other and further action
as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
