161.2004 RESOLUTION ADOPTING SEQRA NEGATIVE DECLARATION REGARDING HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION DAY RESOLUTION NO. 161. 2004 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Roger Boor WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 49, 2004 the Queensbury Town Board authorized the filing of an application for state assistance from the Household Hazardous Waste State Assistance Program to th fund the Town’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day to be conducted on Saturday, June 5, 2004, and WHEREAS, by Resolution No.: 78, 2004, the Town Board authorized the advertisement for bids for the furnishing of all materials and performing all work necessary for the collection and disposal of household hazardous waste in connection with the Town’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, and WHEREAS, as part of the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day activity and for the grant funding application, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation requires that a State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) review be conducted before the Town’s Hazardous Waste Collection Day takes place or funds are spent, and WHEREAS, the Town Board is duly qualified to act as lead agency for compliance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) which requires environmental review of certain actions undertaken by local governments, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board, after considering the proposed action, reviewing the Environmental Assessment Form and thoroughly analyzing the action for potential environmental concerns, determines that the action will not have a significant effect on the environment, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to complete the Environmental Assessment Form by checking the box indicating that the proposed action will not result in any significant adverse impacts, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board approves of a Negative Declaration and authorizes and directs the Town Clerk's Office and/or Department of Community Development to file any necessary documents in accordance with the provisions of the general regulations of the Department of Environmental Conservation. th Duly adopted this 15 day of March, 2004, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Brewer, Mr. Stec, Mr. Boor, Mr. Turner, Mr. Strough NOES : None ABSENT : None
