251.2003 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF MICHAEL CARR TO WORK FOR DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION RESOLUTION NO. :251, 2003 INTRODUCED BY Mr. Daniel Stec WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY :Mr. Theodore Turner WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested Town Board authorization to hire Michael Carr to work part-time for the Department as a seasonal Recreation Specialist (Lifeguard and Swim Lesson Instructor), and WHEREAS, Town Policy requires that familial relationships must be disclosed and that the Town Board must approve the appointment of Town employees’ relatives and Michael Carr is the son of Elise Carr, the full-time Town Aquatic Supervisor, and WHEREAS, Michael Carr worked for the Town for two years as a seasonal Recreation Specialist prior to Elise Carr being hired full-time by the Department, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of Michael Carr to work for the Town’s Department of Parks and Recreation as a part-time, seasonal th Recreation Specialist effective May 24, 2003, to be paid at the appropriate hourly wage approved for seasonal recreation positions, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Director of Parks and Recreation, Town Supervisor and/or Town Comptroller to complete any forms and take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 19 day of May, 2003, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Stec, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Brower, Mr. Boor, Mr. Turner NOES : None ABSENT: None
