At a special meeting of the Town Board of the flown of Queansbury, held at the
Town Clerk's Office in said Town on the above date at 7* p.m. . , the following
members were presents

Letter vas read from lir 3eecher S. Clother in reagard to additional. clerks
in District No 3 where there are tWvoting machines, the following resolutiot
was adopted.
Resolution No 719 Introduced ley Mr Nobles seconded by Mr 3een, It was resolved that
'WHEYMS, there is an unusual large registration in Election District #3 and
that it would be a physical impossibility for the inspectors of Election and two
clerks to properly carry out the protlssion of Section 7 of Article of the
Constitution which provides for the signature at the times of voting of all person
voting in person with out employing two additional Clerks and,
WHEREAS, an oppinon of County Attorney states that the inspectors of election
should appoint additional clerks from each party.
THEREFORE, be it .resolved that the Inspectors of election be and they are
hereby authorised to appoint two additional Clerks from opposite political faith
to assist in carry out provissions of Section 7 of .Article 2 of the Constitution
and that salary of each additional clerk shall be the same as the other clerks
and shall be a town charhe.
Duly adopted by the following votes s .Ayes- Mr Been, MR Nobles, Mr Lampson,
Mr Bentley and Mr Fowler.
Noes- None.
A letter of recommendation for the appointment of Elva McDermont as election
inspector of District No t of the Town of Queensbury to fill vacancy caused by the
death of Len AI.Jenkins was read to the Town 3oard, fron Garner Gwinup and Leo
Plower 'Democratic Committemen.
RESOLUTION NO 72 Introduced by Mr Nobles, seconded by Mr Lampson , It was
resolved that
WHEREAS a vacancy exists- in the 3oard of ,Inspectors of Election of Dist.# 2
caused by the deatk of Lena M. Jenkins democratic Inspector , and
WHEREAS Elva McDermontt has been recommended by the Democratic Committeemen
of said district to fill said vacancy
RESOLVEID, that the said Elva McDermott be and is hereby appointed Democratic
Inspector of Election in District No 2 to fill the unexpired term of the said
Lena M. Jenkins.
Duly adopted by the .following votes- ayes Mr Been, Mr Nobles, Mr Lampson,
Mr Bentley and Mr Fowler.
