450.2003 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF TIME CONCERNING DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF UNSAFE STRUCTURE LOCATED ON PROPERTY OWNED BY MINA GRANGER LOCATED AT 10 CROSSOVER LANE RESOLUTION NO. 450, 2003 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Roger Boor WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Theodore Turner WHEREAS, by Resolution No.: 285, 2003, the Queensbury Town Board set a hearing concerning a home on property owned by Mina Granger located at 10 Crossover Lane on Assembly Point in the Town of Queensbury (Tax Map No.: 226.15-1-41) that is in disrepair, unusable and unsafe, and WHEREAS, the hearing was held on July 7th, 2003 and by Resolution No.: 285, 2003 the Town Board tabled a Resolution ordering demolition and removal of the unsafe structure, and WHEREAS, by letter dated September 11, 2003, counsel for the Mina Granger estate has advised the Town Board that progress is being made concerning the property, as the house is now boarded-up and is secure, and counsel is in the process of obtaining an Order to sell the house pursuant to contract, and WHEREAS, counsel for the Estate has therefore requested that the deadline in this matter be extended to March 1, 2004 as progress is being made on a closing on the house, and WHEREAS, the Town Board feels that such an extension of the time would benefit the Town and its residents, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes an extension of time to March 1, 2004 for counsel for the Estate of Mina Granger to complete the sale of the premises located at 10 Crossover Lane, Queensbury, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Director of Building and Codes Enforcement to send counsel for the Granger Estate a certified copy of this Resolution and take such other and further action as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 20 day of October, 2003, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Boor, Mr. Turner, Mr. Stec, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Brower NOES : None ABSENT: None 2
