053.2002 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TOWN BOARD MEMBERS TO PLACE RESOLUTIONS OR DISCUSSION ITEMS ON TOWN BOARD REGULAR OR SPECIAL MEETING AGENDAS RESOLUTION NO.: 53, 2002 MOTION DEFEATED INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Daniel Stec WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHEREAS, from time to time members of the Queensbury Town Board find it necessary to add Resolutions or discussion items to the Town Board’s printed agendas for Regular or Special Town Board meetings, and WHEREAS, the printed agenda promotes honest communication with the public about issues to be discussed at Town Board meetings, and WHEREAS, in accordance with Town Law §63, a Town Board may determine its rules of procedure, and WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to adopt a Resolution formally granting authority to all Town Board members to add Resolutions or discussion items to the Town Board’s printed agendas for Regular or Special Town Board meetings with the provision that, if necessary, any such additions may only be removed from the agendas by the Town Board member originally requesting such addition, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby formally adopts, authorizes and directs implementation of a procedure whereby all Town Board members may add Resolutions or discussion items to any Regular or Special Meeting Town Board printed agenda and only the Councilperson requesting such agenda addition shall be authorized to remove it from the Town Board printed agenda if necessary, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Clerk’s Office to take any action necessary to implement this procedure and effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 14 day of January, 2002, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Stec, Mr. Brewer NOES : Mr. Brower, Mr. Boor, Mr. Turner ABSENT : None
