194.2002 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF TEMPORARY PART-TIME DATA COLLECTOR RESOLUTION NO.: 194. 2002 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Theodore Turner WHEREAS, the Town Comptroller’s Office is implementing the Governmental Accounting Standards Board 34 (GASB 34) accounting and reporting requirements, and WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent needs to compile infrastructure records to comply with these new accounting and reporting requirements and has therefore requested Town Board authorization to hire a temporary, part-time Data Collector to work from approximately May stst 1, 2002 through November 1, 2002, to locate and describe drainage systems within the Town of Queensbury, and WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent has recommended that the Town Board appoint former Highway Department Foreman William Hughes to this position as Mr. Hughes has extensive knowledge of drainage and catch basin systems installed in the Town of Queensbury, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the hiring of William Hughes as a part-time, temporary Data Collector at the rate of $13.19 per hour to work a maximum of stst 750 hours from approximately May 1, 2002 through November 1, 2002, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the salary for Mr. Hughes shall be paid for from the appropriate Highway Department payroll account, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Highway Superintendent, Town Comptroller’s Office and/or Town Supervisor’s Office to complete any forms and take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 15 day of April, 2002 by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Turner, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Brower, Mr. Boor NOES : None ABSENT: Mr. Stec
