338.2002 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDS THROUGH NEW YORK STATE ADMINISTERED SMALL CITIES PROGRAM RESOLUTION NO.: 338, 2002 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Daniel Stec WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Senior Planner has advised the Town Board that the New York State Governor's Office for Small Cities is accepting applications from eligible communities to compete for Community Development Technical Assistance Grants available through the New York State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, and, WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to submit a Technical Assistance Grant application to address its Community Development needs in the form of a Strategic Plan, and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Town Board to officially adopt and implement such plan upon its completion, and WHEREAS, funds to develop a Community Development Strategic Plan were not budgeted for Fiscal Year 2002, and WHEREAS, the Town will provide a 40% match with in-kind services, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs submission of the Town of Queensbury’s application for Community Development Technical Assistance Grants available through the New York State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, such technical assistance funds to be for an amount not to exceed $25,000, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to sign any necessary documents in connection with the submission, including all applications, certifications and forms and further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and Community Development Department to take such other and further action as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 19 day of August, 2002 by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Brower, Mr. Boor, Mr. Stec, Mr. Brewer NOES : None ABSENT: Mr. Turner
