RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
LOCAL LAW NO.: ____ OF 2001 TO AMEND THE QUEENSBURY TOWN
CODE BY ADDING A NEW CHAPTER ENTITLED,
"DISPLAY OF OFFICIAL STREET ADDRESS"

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to consider adoption of Local Law No.:
___, 2001 to add a new Chapter to the Queensbury Town Code to be entitled, "Display of Official
Street Address," which Chapter shall require the prominent display of Town residents’ street addresses
originally assigned by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, subsequently by the Town of
Queenbury Director of Building and Codes, for the 911 emergency telephone system, and
WHEREAS, such legislation is authorized in accordance with New York State Town Law
§130(15) and Municipal Home Rule Law §10, and
WHEREAS, prior to adoption of the Local Law, it is necessary to conduct a public hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board shall meet and hold a public hearing at the

Activities Center, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury at 7:00 p.m. on February 5, 2001 to consider proposed
Local Law No.: ___ of 2001, hear all persons interested and take such action as is required or
authorized by law, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk
to publish and post the attached Notice of Public Hearing as required by law.
