RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENGAGEMENT OF NATIONAL GRID
AND VERIZON COMPANIES FOR DESIGN SERVICES RELATED TO THE
MAIN STREET INFRASTRUCTURE AND REDEVELOPMENT PLAN

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board has a Project relating to improvements along
Main Street and as part of such Project, utilities are required to be placed underground, and
WHEREAS, National Grid and Verizon Companies have offered to provide design services
relating to the undergrounding of utilities in this area, for an amount not to exceed $25,000 for
National Grid and for an amount not to exceed $9,900 for Verizon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs engagement of
National Grid and Verizon for the provision of design services concerning the undergrounding of
electric, gas and telephone facilities along Main Street for an amount not to exceed $25,000 for
National Grid and for an amount not to exceed $9,900 for Verizon, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes a total appropriation of $34,900 for
these services and directs that payment shall be from the Exit 18 Corridor Enhancement Capital
Project, Capital Construction Account No.: 126-5020-2899, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Budget Officer and/or Town Counsel to execute any documentation and take such other and further
action necessary to effectuate all terms of this Resolution.
