144.2001 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WAGE INCREASE FOR PART-TIME REAL PROPERTY TAX SERVICE ASSISTANT RESOLUTION NO. : 144, 2001 INTRODUCED BY Mr. Theodore Turner WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY : Mr. James Martin WHEREAS, by Town Board Resolution No.: 499,2000 the Queensbury Town Board set Year 2001 employee salaries, including the hourly wage for part-time, permanent Real Property Tax Service Assistant Elizabeth Dybas, and WHEREAS, as requested by the Town Board, the Town Assessor met with AMTEK Human Resource Consultants for the purpose of classifying Ms. Dybas’ position, and WHEREAS, AMTEK concluded that the Real Property Tax Service Assistant is a Grade 4 position, and WHEREAS, by Town Board Resolution No.: 498,2000 the Queensbury Town Board adopted its Year 2001 Non-Union Salary Structure for all graded positions, and WHEREAS, the Town Assessor has requested that the Town Board consider Ms. Dybas’ 20 years of service to the Town and adjust Ms. Dybas’ rate of pay accordingly to an hourly rate at the higher end of the salary structure for a Grade 4 position, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has considered Ms. Dybas’ longevity and job qualifications as well as the Town Assessor’s recommendation, and believes that an increase in Ms. Dybas’ wages is appropriate and necessary, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs an increase in wages for Elizabeth Dybas, part-time, permanent Real Property Tax Service Assistant, from $12.77 to $13.95 per hour, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Comptroller, Town Assessor and/or Town Supervisor’s Office to complete any forms and take any action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 19 day of March, 2001, by the following vote: AYES: Mr. Turner, Mr. Stec, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Brower, Mr. Martin NOES: None ABSENT:None
