John Fitzgerald Charles Sicard Gordon Streeter .' being the members of the bòard, excepting George Kurosaka and Charles Hutton who were absent ror this meeting. On a motion by Charles Sicard, seconded by Gordon Streeter, th~ minutes of the previous meetings (December 20 and De~ember 28, 1970) were approved as read. In the matter of public hearings, the chairman, Mr. Fitzgerald, read the proof of publication for application \......- for variance #184 by KING HENDRICK MOTEL (MARION H. VINTON) TO ERECT A FREE STANDING SIGN TWO FEET FROM THE FRONT PROPERTY LINE INSTEAD OF THE REQUIRED 50' ON THE PROPERTY SITUATED AT LAKE GEORGE ROAD, ROUTE 9, TOWN OF QUEENSBURY. Mr. Fitzgerald, "I have a picture in front of me of the proposed sign and I must say, pictures are worth their weight in gold. Mr. Liapes, if you can get a picture relatìg to applications, they are most helpful to the members of the board." Mr. Liapes, ."Vacant land on one side that belongs to Williams College and the other side was owned by a man who died in Florida." Mr'. Fitzgerald, "You are moving' your sign to a much better location?" ,,---. Mr. Liapes, "It will be less non-conforming." Mr. Sicard, "What kind of lighting; no flashing arrows, etc.?" Mr. West, "No, flourescent and would light up this area." Mr. Sicard, "Actually, this is closed during the winter months?" Mr. West, "They cover it up in the winter.
