Dear Mr. Brown,
We have submitted Building Permit Application 4 A20070634 for a two
story addition and attached garage on our home at 48 Dream Lake Road.
We also hold a Town of Queensbury Zoning Variance for the reconstruction
of an existing nonconforming detached garage on the property. This letter
will clarify our intention that the proposed new garage will be a replacement
of the nonconforming garage currently standing.
Please accept this letter as our formal request to rescind the Zoning Variance
previously issued for the existing garage. Also, would you kindly issue a
Demolition Permit for that existing nonconforming garage so that we can
remove the structure after the new attached garage has been completed.
The foundations for the new garage will be installed immediately upon issuance
of the Building Permit. However, due to the late project start date, the actual
construction has been split into two phases in order to allow for completion of
the two story bedroom addition this fall and allow for the completion of the
attached garage after the winter. Our plan is to complete the garage in the
early spring of 2008, but it might also be done at some later date.
If Queensbury Demolition Permits are issue with an expiration date, could you
kindly indicate the expiration date on this permit to be 60 days after completion
of the newly permitted garage. This will allow adequate time for the removal
of the structure and will avoid additional fees for any possible time extension.
