RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
FOR COLLECTION AND DELIVERY OF COMPACTED SOLID WASTE
AND RECYCLABLES

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to arrange for the collection and delivery of
compacted solid waste from the Town’s two transfer stations to the Adirondack Resource Recovery
Facility and collection and delivery of the Town’s recyclables from the Town’s two transfer stations to
a facility approved by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent has prepared and presented a copy of the necessary bid
documents at this meeting,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town
Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids for the collection and delivery of compacted solid waste from
the Town’s two transfer stations to the Adirondack Resource Recovery Facility and collection and
delivery of the Town’s recyclables from the Town’s two transfer stations to a facility approved by the
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Purchasing Agent to
open all bids, read them aloud and record the bids as is customarily done and present the bids to the
next regular or special meeting of the Town Board.
