RESOLUTION DENYING SEWAGE DISPOSAL VARIANCE
APPLICATION OF DAVID AND JANE HOPPER
RESOLUTION NO.: BOH 26, 2001
INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Daniel Stec
WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION
SECONDED BY: Mr. James Martin
Motion to Deny Sewage Disposal Variance Application of David and Jane Hopper for the
following reasons:
1.The number and magnitude of the relief sought is excessive in the Board’s
opinion constituting a potential detriment to the health and safety of the Lake
George Basin.
2.There has not been enough information supplied about the potential effect on
neighboring wells as a drinking water source.
3.There appears to be at least one other alternative present by virtue of ownership of
property in close proximity to this site.
4.Potential alternatives were discussed with the applicants and the applicants are
unwilling to consider them or at least have not offered to modify their proposal at
this meeting.
