040.2000 RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF 1999 PUMPER TRUCK BY QUEENSBURY CENTRAL VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY, INC. RESOLUTION NO.: 40, 2000 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Daniel Stec WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. James Martin WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury and the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. (Fire Company) have contracted for fire protection services and such Agreement is in full force and effect, and WHEREAS, the Fire Company proposes to purchase one (1) 1999 Pumper Truck for the total principal amount of $249,830 and proposes to pay for the Truck in accordance with the following financing plan: Purchase Price $249,830 Current Truck Fund Balance: 134,000 Year 2000 Truck Fund Appropriation 50,000 Estimated Additional Interest Earnings 6,000 Min. Expected From Sale of 1976 Pumper 10,000 Year 2001 Truck Fund Appropriation 50,000 250,000 and WHEREAS, the Town Comptroller has approved this financing plan, and WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to approve the Fire Company’s purchase and financing plan, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby approves of the purchase of one (1) 1999 Pumper Truck for the sum of $249,830 by the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby approves the financing plan of the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. as delineated above. th Duly adopted this 13 day of January, 2000, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Brewer, Mr. Martin, Mr. Turner, Mr. Stec, Mr. Brower NOES : None ABSENT: None 2
