RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
TAPPING FEES FOR WATER DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury previously established tapping fees to cover the cost of Town
ownership and installation of water services and meters installed for residents and businesses receiving Town
water service, and
WHEREAS, the Town Water Superintendent has informed the Town Board that as a result of the
Town’s transition to a radio read meter system, there has been an increase in the cost of providing water taps for
new customers within the water district, and
WHEREAS, the Water Superintendent has evaluated these cost increases and has recommended that the
Town Board increase its tapping fees to reflect the increase in meter prices, and
WHEREAS, the Water Superintendent has proposed a new tapping fee schedule as follows:

WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to set a public hearing concerning the proposed new tapping fee
schedule,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury shall hold a public hearing on March 6,
2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Queensbury Activities Center, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury to hear all interested parties
and citizens concerning the proposed increase in tapping fees, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk to
publish a Notice of Hearing in the official newspaper for the Town not less than five (5) days prior to the hearing
date.
